Juana is a beautiful maiden living peacefully in her island. While dancing in the middle of the sea, she sees how vast the waters are, and suddenly realizes that she is alone. To satisfy her longing, she does an animistic ritual and prays for a companion. A man arrives.

ANTONNE SANTIAGO is a Cum Laude graduate of the UP Film Institute. Aside from being a filmmaker, he is also a dancer.
Back in 2015, he went to the Japan Institute of the Moving Image to attend the Action Asia program sponsored by the Japan Foundation. He also attend the Fukuoka Film Forum in 2016 and shall be participating again this year.
His thesis film, "Juana and the Sacred Shores" won Special Mention in the Dance on Screen Festival in Austria, and has been showcased in prestigious dance film festivals in Athens, Brazil, and Chicago. One of his aspirations is for dance film to flourish in the Philippines.
